The Technology
The MEDgle platform is built on top of the most comprehensive known database of relationships between symptoms, diagnoses, drugs, tests, procedures and associated statistical information. Paired with decision algorithms and semantic search-enhanced data input capability, MEDgle is a powerful case analysis engine with a wide range of real-time, predictive health uses. Applying tested mathematical algorithms to patient parameters including age, gender, family history; and lifestyle factors such as smoking, weight and previous diagnoses, MEDgle provides instantaneous, web-based, clinically relevant information covering 10,000 symptoms, 3,000+ diagnoses, 7,000 procedures, and 6,000 medications (and these numbers continue to grow!).

Some of the techniques used by MEDgle include:

  • Multi-parametric statistics (a form of multi-dimensional scaling that enables the linearization of large number of related probabilities)

  • Entropy analysis (which increases the informational content of certain variables)

  • Natural language analysis (gathering the meaning of a text based on the number of repeating words and phrases in the language experience of a human)

Geographic Variability
MEDgle produces variable outcomes based on geographical infectious disease information provided by the Center for Disease Control and is populated with country and region specific information.

MEDgle Cloud
MEDgle and the MEDgle Cloud is built on cloud computing architecture and is not limited by server or storage availability, making it infinitely scalable.

Implementation and Platform Architecture
MEDgle's products simplify the implementation of a clinical decision support system by providing on-demand, affordable services. Many of our products are currently available for free. For our clinical products, practitioners and institutions pay as you go, dramatically improving the return on investment by reducing up-front project and infrastructure costs.

MEDgle's products are also Zero-Footprint and completely browser based. There's no support infrastructure or added IT resources required.

Because there is no need for patient-identifying information, MEDgle is HIPAA compliant in its basic form.

It's a probabilistic engine - not another search engine.
Where other solutions rely on text search or text matching to provide the basis for diagnoses or other information, MEDgle takes medical decision support further than any other technology seen to-date.

The MEDgle database is a fully structured probabilistic database in which decision algorithms are applied to in real-time. The MEDgle team has spent the over 3 years synthesizing medical information available in the most trusted primary sources of medical information that physicians use every day, such as Cleveland and Mayo Clinic practice guidelines, peer-reviewed journals, and trusted online resources. (MEDgle uses leveraged semantic analysis techniques to enable our physicians to review large amounts of data in an organized, efficient manner.) To-date we have programmed over 70 million+ cross-connected relationships, with probabilities.
